FAQ's

How do I know if the date I want to stay is available?  

  • Checking availability is easy! Just follow these steps

    1. Go to our book now page.

    2. Choose your preferred check-in date by clicking on the calendar.

    3. The available dates will be shown. Dates that are already booked will be crossed through.

What time is check in/ check out? 

Check in is from 2pm, and check out at 10am.

How and when do I pay for my stay?

In order to ensure your booking is secured, half payment is required at the time the booking is placed and the remaining half 14 days prior to check in. You will have a variety of credit and debit card payment options available to you at the online checkout.

How much does the Glamp cost per night? 

The cost is $380 NZD for a one night stay. This rate applies for any weekday, weekend day, or public holiday. There is no minimum night requirement for you to book. You can book as many or as few nights as you like! This price is for up to two adults. For additional people it is $60 pp for up to six people.


Am I able to change my booking date?

Yes you may be able to if it is more than 7 days prior to your booking date. Please email foresthillsideglamping@gmail.com

What is your refund policy?

If you cancel before 30 days of your planned booking the rate will be reimbursed minus a 15% booking fee. If cancellation of your booking occurs within 30 days of your planned booking date, then there will be no refund.

Do you offer  gift vouchers?

Yes, we offer gift vouchers. Gift vouchers may be used for any available weekday, weekend day or public holiday. Gift vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. 


Is food provided or do we bring our own? 

A few basics will be provided for you, otherwise you will need to bring your own food. We strongly suggest you stop at one of the supermarkets you will pass on the way to the site and pick up some food. Alternatively you could dine out at one of our local restaurants. https://www.winton.co.nz/categ...There is a gas BBQ, electric hob, microwave and a fire pit for you to cook over as you please. The kitchen is well equipped with essential cookware and dinnerware. A fridge is situated in the kitchen  to keep your meat, dairy products and fresh produce crisp, fresh and cold. 
A complimantary breakfast is available for one morning of your stay. This includes a selection of Cereals, free range eggs, breads and spreads. Refreshments such as Coffee, Tea, Milo, Hot Chocolate, Milk and Juice are also available.

Do you have power?

Yes we have full power to the to the whole glampsite


Do you have phone reception and WIFI?

We are working to get wifi at our glampsite come opening however in the meantime there is cell reception in areas of the camp

Do you have heating?

Yes our tent comes with a heat pump the can be used as air con and a dehumidifier. We have an outdoor gas fire table to keep you warm outdoors and hotties available to take to bed. 

Can I bring my dog?

Sorry no pets.

How many guests can stay?

We can cater for up to six guests. We have a king bed with four singles or six singles available. 

What are your bathroom options?

We have two deep claw baths which are located outside perfect for couples, and shower in our bathroom block and a spa pool (please note photos of our bathroom are not up yet as it has not been quite completed)

Can I park at the glampsite?

Yes. You can drive to the location. There is about a 100m walk through gardens to get to the glampsite. Your vehicle will be safe in the car park. Camp Trolleys will be left at the entrance to help assist you transporting your gear.


Do I need to bring cooking equipment?

No. We have all the basic essentials you need.

Do I need to bring linens and towels?

No - both are provided

What clothing do I need to bring?

Whatever you feel comfortable in. We suggest bringing some warm clothing to sit outside at night, a raincoat and a pair of walking shoes in case you want to explore the local daywalks.
