Forest Hillside Glamping Retreat is located in Central Southland New Zealand, just 11 minutes drive from Winton, 26 minutes from Invercargill and about 2 hours south of Queenstown.
The campsite sits on a 3.5 acre property, 5 minutes from Forest Hill Scenic Reserve which has multiple day walk options. The Lotus Belle Mahal with a giant floor space of 65 square metres sits within a patch of picturesque trees and garden providing spots of welcome shade and privacy.
The romantic, Lotus Belle tent is fitted out with a Super King sized bed, beautifully dressed in deluxe linen. Two stylishly built huts accompany the tent, forming a camp bathroom and kitchen. An additional outdoor area provides a fantastic al fresco dining space.
Two deep, claw-foot baths sit side-by-side, giving you the chance to soak and relax together while you take in the forest garden views over the private area. The starry sky at night is breathtaking.

Extremely well set out in nature with privacy ..... from the welcome sign on the tree when you arrive to the wee greeting card and chocolate waiting for you in the tent to the decor was just 10/10.
We enjoyed a spa and movie ,then I had an early morning bubble bath with listening to the birds.
Kitchen had everything you needed and more ... like marshmallows for the fire pit 🥰.Beds were so comfy and warm with your hottie.

‘’This place was amazing!! Private, spacious, beautifully dressed enormous tent, kitchen (fully stocked with condiments, coffees, biscuits n marshmallows, cereals, milks and eggs) and full kitchen facilities. Flushing toilet and shower in a lovely cosy bathroom. Gazebo was great with a cosy fire for movies with the kids followed by a spa! The outdoor baths at night under the stars with the lights in the trees was another piece of bliss. Also lots of games (inside and outside) and a lovely setting amongst the trees and lights. Will definitely be returning!! Ps. The welcome note and board and chocolates were also a hit!’’
